A few months after completing the Hand in Hand Zimbabwe (HiHZim) business development trainings, members of Siyazama Self Help Group (SHG) successfully set up a broiler production business.
The 10 SHG members from Gwanda district utilised the vast knowledge they acquired from the trainings start and to grow their business into a lucrative venture.
Before HiHZim intervention, Siyazama SHG members say they could not make ends meet as they had limited knowledge on profitable business management.
When HiHZim intervened, their lives changed for the better as they received business modular trainings and broiler production technical skills trainings.

To date, the group has secured a huge market base within their local community, at Sigodo business centre and Blanket mine.
This enables them to pocket an average profit of USD$600 per month after removing expenses.
Through this profit, group members can now provide food, clothing, medical bills and other basic needs for their families
