Mental Health Awareness and Support: Working in partnership with local health institutions, we facilitate mobile outreach services

Hand in Hand Zimbabwe is a non-profit organisation that works to uplift resource-limited and marginalised people in rural communities, particularly women and youth. Through our inclusive economic empowerment model, we support communities to build sustainable livelihoods that improve household incomes and resilience.

In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), we integrate health and social development in our programming to ensure communities thrive holistically. We prioritise access to quality maternal health care services, focusing on safe motherhood, antenatal and postnatal care, and health education for women of reproductive age.

We are also actively involved in mental health awareness and support, recognising the increasing psychosocial challenges faced in rural settings. Our community engagements provide safe spaces for dialogue, counselling referrals, and mental wellness education to reduce stigma and promote emotional well-being.

In addition, we champion women’s health through breast and cervical cancer education, screening, and advocacy. Working in partnership with local health institutions, we facilitate mobile outreach services that bring cancer screening closer to underserved communities. We also conduct awareness campaigns to encourage early detection and treatment, especially for rural women who often face barriers to accessing these services.

Through our health and advocacy efforts, Hand in Hand Zimbabwe is committed to ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey toward a healthier, more empowered society.
