The organization works to capacitate communities and households to apply their minds, ideas and resources on interventions that help them make (i) generate income, (ii) own decisions on investments in health and education and (iii) taking risks in order to increase their income. Through its six modular business development training programme delivered over six months, Hand in Hand Zimbabwe equips the target community members with knowledge and skills to start their own businesses, make decisions and create employment within their communities. Hand in Hand interventions ultimately aim at empowering communities to manage shocks and risks that come along with economic challenges, climate change, disasters and conflicts.
